Himalaya kayakalpa is a disciplinary program and all the activities are performed in Haridwar mainely. Centered around the foothills of Himalaya, it is an amalgamation of ayurvedic treatments, yoga learning, puja rituals, pilgrimage to some well known holy temples. Actively participating in these activities can really show the devotees the path to spiritual prosperity.

In this program, the visitors will get a chance to participate in Parthiv Shivling puja on the banks of Ganga. This puja is organised to appease Lord Shiva who can take away all the sufferings of the devotees and inspire to lead an awakened & fulfilling life. Philosophies of ancient Gurus, sacred literature and vedic astrology are explained to the participants to make them understand the secrets of a happy life.

Day 1	Orientation session in the morning. Holy dip in the Ganga & Ganga Puja. Rudra Abhishek Puja of Lord Shiva at Shiva temple (Haridwar). Visit to Daksh (Shiva) Temple and other prominent places in Haridwar and other well known local sites visit.
Day 2	Basic Yoga learning session in the morning, Ayurvedic Panchakarma including Shirodhara, Ayurvedic Body massage and Relaxation therapy session. Ganga Aarti overview in the evening at Har-Ki-Pauri Haridwar. Night stay in Haridwar.
Day 3	Yoga learning session in the morning, Ayurvedic Panchakarma including Shirodhara, Ayurvedic Body massage and Relaxation therapy session. Mantra Chanting and Keertan session in the evening. Night stay in Haridwar.

Places to Visit

Haridwar

The word ‘Haridwar’ means Gateway to God. It is the place where the holy River Ganga descends from the Garhwal Himalayas and enters the alluvial soil of the plains.Haridwar is regarded as one of the seven holiest places (Sapta Puri) to Hindus. According to the Samudra manthan - Haridwar along with Ujjain, Nashik and Prayag (Allahabad) is one of four sites where drops of Amrit, the elixir of immortality accidentally spilled over from the pitcher while being carried by the celestial bird Garuda. This is manifested in the Kumbha Mela being celebrated every 3 years in one of the 4 places, and thus every 12 years in Haridwar. Amidst the Kumbha Mela, millions of pilgrims, devotees, and tourists congregate in Haridwar to perform ritualistic bathing on the banks of the river Ganges to wash away their sins to attain Moksha. Brahma Kund, the spot where the Amrit fell, is located at Har ki Pauri (literally, "footsteps of the Lord") and is considered to be the most sacred ghat of Haridwar.

Har ki Pauri - Haridwar

It is also known as Brahmakund and is believed to be the place where divine nectar fell from the pitcher. It is the site for the famous Kumbh Mela which is celebrated once in every 12 years. Large number of devotees comes especially to Haridwar to take a holy dip in the Ganga River. At twilight, when evening aarti is performed the reflection of the lighted diyas that keep floating on the river surface offers an enchanting view of the ghat to the visitors. Legend says that this sacred Ghat was built by King Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhatrihari, who is said to have meditated on the banks of Ganga in Haridwar.

Daksha Mahadev Temple - Haridwar

Dakash Temple is a very old temple of Daksha Mahadev. It is situated in Kankhal, Haridwar. Legend says that King Daksha Prajapati, father of Sati (Lord Shiva’s first wife), performed yagya (homa) at this place. Daksha Prajapati did not invite Lord Shiva and Sati felt insulted. As a result, she burnt herself in the yagya kund. This incident provoked the disciples and followers of Mahadev, who killed King Daksha, but later on Lord Mahadev brought him back to life. Daksha temple is therefore a tribute to the King Daksha.

Shri Yantra Temple - Haridwar

Vishvakalyan Sadhanayatan (Shri Yantra Mandir) was founded in 1991 by Nirvana Pithadhishwar Acharya Mahamandleshwar Swami Shri Vishwadevanand ji. The ashram has other Temples also around the Shree Yantra Mandir on the banks of the holy river Ganga where daily morning prayers are performed followed by Yagna, the fire ritual. We also do an evening Aarti. Special Pujas, such as Rudrabhishek and Ganga Puja, are conducted from time to time. The Temple houses a Shiva lingam, along with altars to Ganesha, Parvati, Lord Narayan with Laxmi, Surya Narayan (the Sun God), and Hanuman.

Adya Shakati Mahakali Asharam - Haridwar

Mahakali Ashram is one of the famous religious places of Haridwar and was founded by Swami Rasanand Ji Maharaj. Situated in Kankhal, it is built on the banks of Neeldhara (A tributary of Ganga). The Ashram has a rich history and is chosen by people of all walks of life to lead a solitary life to practice austerity & meditation. It also houses a magnificent temple of Goddess Kalika. The temple compound covers a large area and is visited by huge number of devotees round the year. The Ashram is built on the front side of the compound while the backside harbours the Temple. A large Hawan Kund is also there for performing hawan (homa). The Kalika Ashram is designed to inspire spirituality, peace and harmony among its visitors. The Ashram is guiding thousands of devotees around the world to practice spirituality in its true sense.

Rishikesh

Rishikesh is a prominent spiritual town situated on the banks of holy River Ganga. It is also called the gateway of the Himalayas. There is also a legend associated with the name of the town. It says that when Rishi Raibhya did penance here, God appeared as Rishikesh and gave his blessings to the Rishi. Since then this place came to be known as Rishikesh.
