Sun or Surya the center of the Solar system around which all the planets revolve represents both 1 & 12 mukhis. These mukhis effectively control the malefic effects of Sun.

This Rudraksha enlightens the person of the supreme deity GOD. It makes one aware that GOD is only one. One faced Rudraksha is the symbol of the supreme God. This is the best among all the Rudrakshas. One faced Rudraksha is found in two shapes round and a half moon shaped. In the Srimaddevibhagavat 11th Skand Chapter V verses 25 and 26 it is stated "According to Jabala instinct for wearing Rudraksha results only after attaining the perfection of Vedas and blessings of Lord Siva during preceding births"

In Chapter VII verse 23 it is stated "Rudrakshas infused with Bija mantras should be worn. One Mukhi Rudraksha helps envisioning the Partattva"

In Padma Purana Chapter 57 Translated by Bhatta 1989 it is stated in verse 38 to 39 "The Rudraksha of one mouth is virtually Siva It removes the sin of brahmanacide. Therefore one should wear it for the destruction of all (ones) sins. He would go to Siva's heaven and rejoice with Siva. O Kartikeya a man would obtain a Rudraksha of one mouth due to great religious merit and due to Siva's favour and would also obtain Kailasa"

One Mukhi Rudraksha is found in two shapes round and the half moon shape. Round Rudraksha is highly praised in our ancients texts but it is very rare and more of a myth. One mukhi Half moon is easily available and found in a family tree of Rudraksha from India and Srilanka. From the point of view of importance there is no difference between them. Therefore it must be real and pure in whatever shape it may be. The cost of One Mukhi Round is more than the half moon shaped Rudraksha.

Method of its Worship

On the Eights day of the month of Chaitra Shukla Paksha (as per hindu calendar) which falls around 27th of March every year, this Rudraksha is worshipped by offering 108 red coloured flowers. An oil lamp should be lit and essenses should be burnt. The Rudraksha should be smeared with the paste of Sandalwood and camphor. During the worship the Rudraksha should be smeared with these repeatedly. Each of 108 flower should be offered while chanting the mantra given below. This worship should be repeated on Diwali day, once again. The Rudraksha should be kept in some safe box or it should be worns by one's person. This should be worn in red coloured yarn or on a golden chain.

The meaning of this mantra is : My salutatins to the god of various groups (ganas). My salutations to that supreme being (OM) who is the bestower of all auspiciousness (Hreem), renown (Shreem) and wealth (Kleem). I salute the god having one face, who is the lord of all the times and of all the beings. Saultations of the lord of all three worlds who is the giver of all the pleasures and enjoyments.

THE MANTRA FOR WEARING ONE FACED RUDRAKSHA

Those who wear one faced Rudraksha on their person the following mantra should be recited 108 times daily with devotion and punctuality.

'Salutations to that supreme lord (OM) who has one face. Salutations to that lord who is giver of all the auspicious fruits.

The wearer of one faced Rudraksha gets amazing grace. He is able to attain the highest state of spirituality with ease. This is the unending source of health, wealth and mental peace. One who worsips the one faced Rudraksha verily attain these.
