Heartfelt Homage to the Most Euphonic Singer of India: Pandit Jasraj

On August 17, 2020, the most remarkable songster and melodist of Indian classical music, Pundit Jasraj, breathed his last at New Jersey, America. To recollect the harmony he created through his music and to embrace his memory, some of his acquaints and fans arranged a Live prayer meeting and Shanti Path with the help of SHIVA Trust on August 29, 2020.

To let the prayers of all the partisans be delivered in the purest way, SHIVA Trust arranged the Shanti Path on the banks of river Ganges, and the prayer assembly in the premises of Vishva Kalyan Saadhnayatan Ashram, Haridwar.

The Shanti Mantras were chanted by expert Pundits and learned priests throughout the prayer ceremony while Pundit Jasraj's closed ones and proponents were seeing it live.

To pacify and reconcile the deceased soul, the experienced priests associated with SHIVA Trust enunciated Shanti Mantras, Gayatri Mantra, and Vishnu Sahasranamam along with the Shlokas from the eleventh chapter of Shreemad Bhagwat Geeta, which depicts the salvation of the soul.

Every person attending the prayer meeting listened to the blissful Bhajan "Om Namo Bhagwatey Vasudevay" sung by the late Pundit Jasraj while paying silent tribute to him.

Mr. Rajeev Kumar, the founder of SHIVA Trust, shared the glimpses of his life circle and commemorated him by throwing light at his works. When the prayer meeting came to an end, a grand Brahm-Bhoj followed by Brahmin Dakshina was organized to feed the Brahmins and scholars.
